How would you describe what you do at Popsa?
One of the best things about being a co-founder is the variety, you get involved in everything – strategy, growth, recruitment, fundraising, HR, legals, finance, team-building, mentorship, and of course, the tech.
Earlier on in the company's life the role was simpler, I architected, developed and maintained our early iOS app and helped maintain our back-end systems. As the team grew I was able to hire far more talented people than me to take over the development of our apps and back-end systems.
More recently, I've focussed more on planning and prototyping our new tech, recruiting new people to the team and raising investment, but I still actively develop our iOS app when I can.
What does your typical working day look like?
Honestly, there isn't really a typical working day.
What's your favourite thing about Popsa?
Hands down, the people I work with.
What is your proudest moment at Popsa?
My proudest moment came during Q4 2018 when we discovered we'd hit our yearly target and that we were going to smash it that year – followed by the scariest moment that we'd have to do that several times over the next year!
What do you like to do outside of work?
This is a joke, right?
What’s your favourite food spot around the Popsa Soho office?
Kati Roll
What is your favourite part of your job?
I get a lot of satisfaction from building new things; whether that's coding new features or helping the company to grow.
Something people don't know about you is…
I've played keyboard and violin since I was 4 years old!
