Milo Bird, iOS Engineer

Milo is Popsa’s lead iOS engineer and has been developing native apps ever since the App Store launched in 2008.

How would you describe what you do at Popsa?

My job is about figuring out all the small pieces of the puzzle which come together to give you the whole Popsa experience when you're designing and ordering photobooks on your phone or tablet.

What does your typical working day look like?

Mate -> stand up -> code review -> some pair programming -> lunch -> down the rabbit hole -> oh is that really the time?!

What's your favourite thing about Popsa?

The team, everyone is so helpful and we manage to get a lot done with minimal faff. People here are also very kind and positive. Also, Sandra's banana and chocolate bread.

What is your proudest moment at Popsa?

Pulling off our big 3.0 release, with an all-new app running on an all-new platform, without our users feeling the rough edges — it was a smoother experience from day one.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I play the cello, cook and eat a lot of cheese

What’s your favourite food spot around the Popsa Soho office?

Island Poke

What is your favourite part of your job?

Constructing something completely new out of nothing!

Something people don't know about you is…
